CENTENARY ROSE PROJECT 2009, collaborative art project, University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa

Over 3000 cake boxes were painted by students of the university's art department and were placed on a grid during a performance held as part of the centenary celebrations organised by the University of Pretoria. The boxes were filled with food that were collected by all the different university departments in an attempt to alleviate extreme poverty experienced by women living in the Winterveld a rural area close to Pretoria.
